PA Council: Israel has taken first step toward "full takeover" of Al-Aqsa Mosque "and the realization of the Jewish dream to rebuild the alleged Temple"

“Secretary-General of the [Islamic-Christian] Council [for Jerusalem and the Holy Places] Hanna Issa… noted that the Jewish invasions of the Al-Aqsa [Mosque] have become a daily occurrence. He also emphasized that the plan to divide the Mosque between Muslims and Jews was [merely] the first step on the path to a full takeover of [the Mosque] and the realization of the Jewish dream to rebuild the alleged Temple.”

Note: The PA considers any presence of Jews on the Temple Mount an "invasion." However, all visitors are subject to rigorous checks by Israeli security personnel before being granted access to the Temple Mount.
