Israel’s treatment of Palestinian prisoners “more abominable than the atrocities [committed by] Nazism”
Op-ed by Yahya Rabah, columnist for the official PA daily and a member of the Fatah Leadership Committee in Gaza:
“If we were to monitor the occupation’s activity against our heroes in the prisons, we would see things more abominable than the atrocities [committed by] Nazism at its moral and human low point: There is the targeting of Palestinian children through imprisonment; there is administrative detention without trial or charges that continues for years; there is intentional medical neglect leading to death; released [prisoners] are arrested again and their previous sentences are re-imposed or increased; there is psychological torture by withholding visits, solitary confinement, deprivation of sunlight, and sudden searches that turn the lives of the convicted prisoners into an intolerable hell; and there are faulty and intentional medical procedures that cause handicaps, as well as thousands of other additional details that clearly show that the State of Israel lives off aggression alone.”
