PA Ministry of Finance: Budget cuts will not affect salaries for families of Martyrs
Headline: “The Ministry of Finance will not apply the temporary [budget] cut to the salaries (ratib) of the families of the Martyrs and the wounded”
“The National Union of the Families of the Martyrs (Shahids) of Palestine announced that [PA] Finance Minister Shukri Bishara had agreed to pay the families of the Martyrs and wounded their monthly allowances (mukhassas) in full, rather than the 60% of the allowance as [is done with] government employees.”
Note: The temporary cut follows Israel’s withholding of taxes from the PA.
