Fatah official calls terrorist who led killing of 37 a "hero"
Fatah Revolutionary Council member, Muwaffaq Matar: "No one would have believed that this baby, this toddler in her mother’s arms, is the one that would become the hero and commander Dalal Mughrabi. During the Kamal Adwan operation (i.e., bus hijacking and killing of 37) in the 1970’s, she declared the Republic of Palestine, on the occupied seashore of Palestine, when she commanded an operation with 12 self-sacrificing fighters. It was a heroic operation, which is studied in the military academies until this day. Who would have imagined that the man in this photograph, the father of this toddler, would become the father of the hero and commander, Martyr Dalal Mughrabi?"

Note: Dalal Mughrabi led the most lethal terror attack in Israel's history, known as the Coastal Road massacre, in 1978, when she and other Fatah terrorists hijacked a bus on Israel's Coastal Highway, killing 37 civilians, 12 of them children, and wounding over 70. The "Kamal Adwan operation" is the Palestinian name for this terror attack.
