Delegation honors families of imprisoned Palestinian terrorist murderers

Headline: “Tribute to prisoners’ relatives in the Jenin district”
      “A delegation that included representatives from among the figures and forces who are interested in the prisoners’ movement and from the Prisoners’ Club in Jenin paid tribute yesterday [April 23, 2015] to the relatives of the prisoners in the occupation’s prisons, and particularly the relatives of those in isolation and of the female prisoners. This was as part of the activities for Palestinian Prisoner’s Day, and in light of the appreciation of the role their children have played throughout the years of the occupation. The tribute was held during the delegation’s visit to the families of the female prisoners and the prisoners in isolation, including: Nahar Al-Sa’adi, Thabet Mardawi, and Wael Neirat… Head of the Commission of Prisoners [in Jenin] Nazmi Rabai’ah emphasized that this step came in order to maintain contact with the prisoners’ families, as a mark of appreciation for the role of their children, the male and female prisoners, in the service of the homeland… The delegation gave the plaque of commitment and loyalty to the relatives of the male and female prisoners, which was given by the [PLO] Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club together with the institutions involved in the matter of prisoners.”

Nahar Al-Sa’adi – Islamic Jihad terrorist who participated in the terror attack in the Emekim Mall in Afula on May 19, 2003, in which 3 people were killed and dozens injured. Al-Sa’adi is serving 4 life sentences and an additional 20 years.

Thabet Merdawi - A leading member of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Jenin who planned at least 9 terror attacks that killed 20 Israelis and wounded 150 in 2001-2002: Binyamina train station suicide bombing (July 16, 2001, 2 killed), Kibbutz Shluhot suicide bombing (Oct. 7, 2001, 1 killed), Hadera Market shooting attack (Oct. 28, 2001, 4 killed), Wadi Ara suicide bombings (Nov. 29, 2001, 3 killed, and March 20, 2002, 5 killed), Afula central bus station suicide bombing (March 5, 2002, 1 killed). Merdawi turned himself in to Israeli security forces on April 11, 2002, during the Israeli military operation Protective Edge. He was convicted and sentenced to 21 life sentences and 40 years.

Wael Neirat – 29-year-old Palestinian terrorist and part of a terrorist cell that carried out the terror attack at the Qalandiya checkpoint on Aug. 11, 2004, in which one Palestinian was killed and three Israeli border policemen were injured. Neirat is serving a sentence of 25 years.
