“Director of PLO Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs Issa Karake called for the government and civil institutions to give priority to prisoners and released prisoners in available positions, in order to allow them to integrate into society and overcome the difficulties of life after release. Karake referred to the government decision and the President Mahmoud Abbas’ orders to give released [prisoners] priority in public positions. This is part of the preparation for their struggle and their victims, and an attempt to overcome the high level of unemployment in their ranks.”
