PA PM thanks Britan as third largest donor to the Palestinians, hopes that the UK will support Palestinian state

“[PA] Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah… delivered the greetings of [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas, who wished her [British Queen Elizabeth] the best of health and happiness, as well as development and prosperity to the British people. The Prime Minister added: ‘We share the memory of relations of mutual cooperation connecting the two states. Britain was and continues to be a main supporter of our people’s path towards construction, development and establishment [of a state], and provides the third largest funding to Palestine, which is divided into humanitarian aid and budgetary support for UNRWA.’ He continued: ‘We thank you for working diligently and for your willingness to assist us in our efforts to strengthen our preparedness [for statehood]. We look forward to continuing the strategic and constructive cooperation with you in order to strengthen the operation of our institutions and stimulate our [various] sectors and national economy.”
