Secretary-General of the Palestinian Writers’ Union Murad Al-Sudani: “Rashad Abu Shawer’s winning this prize is an invitation to us in Palestine to reinstate the lost respect for our great authors at this historic moment, especially in two areas: Palestine which was occupied in ’48 (i.e., Israel), and abroad, and the union has been working on this for the last four years.”
