Following Palestinian Media Watch’s exposure of the Antisemitism lessons by Sheikh Khaled Al-Mughrabi in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, PMW was contacted by Israeli police and asked to supply all the original recordings. The police investigation has now led to his arrest:

"Today, Sunday [Aug.2, 2015] the occupation forces arrested Sheikh Khaled Al-Mughrabi, a cleric at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, who gives religious lessons to children at the mosque."

PMW first reported on the Sheikh’s hate speech on June 2 and has since released five additional videos documenting the Sheikh’s antisemitic teachings.

In his bi-weekly class at the mosque, which have all been publicized on YouTube, the Sheikh has taught that:

Jews use the blood of non-Jewish children to make Passover matzah bread, and this caused Europeans to expel the Jews and led to the Holocaust
Jews were behind the 9/11 attacks
Jews slaughter their own relatives as sacrifices to Satan, as part of their activities in the Freemasons
Jews “symbolize the Devil,” hate the nations of the world and cause them “great damage”
The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is an authentic Jewish book outlining the Jews’ plan to conquer and rule the entire world
Jews in Israel will be annihilated by Muslims, according to Allah's decree
Jews own half the world’s wealth and control the World Bank
Jews pay doctors to create diseases in order to increase profits for the pharmaceutical industry, which is 95% Jewish-owned

Israeli law prohibits racist incitement and insulting religious sensibilities:

Penal Code 1977, section 144B

Publication of racist incitement is prohibited

(a) If a person publishes anything in order to incite to racism, then he is liable to five years imprisonment.
(b) For the purposes of this section, it does not matter whether the publication did cause racism, and whether or not it is true.

Penal code 1977, section 173

Injury to religious sentiment

If a person does any of the following, then he is liable to one year imprisonment:

(1) he publishes a publication that is liable crudely to offend the religious faith or sentiment of others;

(2) he voices in a public place and in the hearing of another person any word or sound that is liable crudely to offend the religious faith or sentiment of others.

Following PMW’s first report on the Sheikh’s antisemitic teachings, the Sheikh defended his statements and praised Allah for having PMW give more exposure to his class by translating and publicizing his teachings documenting “the true face” of Judaism.

In another video documented by PMW, the Sheikh is seen teaching a group of children that Martyrs who die as Ribat fighters (Murabitun, fighters defending Islamic land) get 70 virgins, whereas Martyrs who don't die fighting only get 2 virgins.
