Official PA daily op-ed: Israel and the US created ISIS, are responsible for strife in Iraq
Headline: “Iraq stands resolute against America”
“Despite the successes of the American-Israeli alliance in ‘sister’ Iraq – such as the formulation of a constitution based on [the concept of] federacy, the establishment of a government with a sectarian nature, the spreading of anarchy on religious, sectarian, and ethnic grounds and [grounds of] faith, through the establishment of ISIS and Shiite militias, the promotion of the independence of the Kurdistan region in Iraq from the central government, the theft of the resources and glorious culture of Iraq and the destruction of its economy – the Iraqi people, with all its elements and diversity, still adheres to its original identity, the Pan-Arab identity, which protects the other ethnic groups…
However, the enemies of Iraq, and especially the US, refuse to accept the choice of the Iraqi people. Since Henry Kissinger declared the dissolution of the states and peoples of the Arab nation in the mid-1970s, when the spark of the Lebanese civil war was ignited in 1975, the American administrations throughout history and the military and security decision-making centers and the legislative and executive institutions are acting – in coordination with the Israeli ethnic cleansing state and other countries in the region – to rip apart the fabric of the Arab peoples. Each one has its personal goals, in addition to the shared one…
The existence of nation states which bind their peoples together, and have a strong connection to the entire Arab nation… carries within it great potential for the growth and rejuvenation of the Pan-Arab enterprise, which threatens the vital interests of the West in general, and the US in particular, and the pillar of the colonial West – the state of Israel – which was created in order to deepen the rift between the Arab peoples and to threaten the Arab national security, and not only to bring Nakba (i.e., 'the catastrophe,' Palestinian term for the establishment of the State of Israel) upon the Palestinian Arab people and scatter it in all directions.”
