Poem read on PA TV: “The sea of Jaffa belongs to us, and the accursed took it from us, and it will return to us in the future”
Official PA TV program Palestine this Morning, interview with the Palestinian poet Rania Hatem who won a poetry contest in Jordan. Rania Hatem reads one of her poems:
“My mother told me that the sea of Jaffa belongs to us, and the accursed took it from us, and it will return to us in the future, because there is an orchard which belongs to the Diab Family and Alaa Al-Din family. My mother has died and Jaffa still awaits the return of the missing; even its loving sea longs for the exiled.
In the name of Allah tell me: Who will I cry for? The captive Al-Aqsa [Mosque], or the Martyrs, or the prisoners? Or I will say to you: The greatest sorrow is for all of you, O Palestine.”
