“[PA] Deputy Minister for Women’s Affairs Bassam Al-Khatib opened a training course yesterday [Sept. 8, 2015] at the ministry’s headquarters regarding national referral regulations for battered women, in order to implement the regulations and develop a mechanism for monitoring them, in order to strengthen women’s rights and fight the violence against them.
Al-Khatib noted the importance of the referral regulations approved by the government, and that at the head of his committee was the Ministry of Women’s Affairs in creating comprehensive regulations for the referral of battered women to legal, health, and social services at the national level.”
