Israel’s founders were “gangs of [the] settlers” who committed “acts of killing and genocide”

Official PA TV program The State of Politics hosts Fatah Spokesman Ahmad Assaf
Official PA TV host: “Allow me to begin with what’s happening on the ground. Gunfire - live of course - from the Israeli army, and the killing of Palestinian youths, while [the soldiers] serve as judge and executioner at the same time. Theoretically, of course. Because Spokesman of the [PA] Security Forces Adnan Al-Damiri said that there is no proof that the child Martyr [Muhammad Al-Atrash] actually carried out a stabbing attack at the Tapuach checkpoint yesterday [Aug. 17, 2015]. We notice, as observers, that in all previous cases when they [Israelis] made accusations of a stabbing attack, a knife was in the side of the picture or at the side of the road…”
Fatah Spokesman Ahmad Assaf: “The perpetrators of these crimes will not evade [punishment] for their actions. The day will come when all those criminals will be judged for their actions. Lately, we see an escalation and acceleration in Israeli acts of murder … Each time we discover that the Israeli excuse is the same…”
Official PA TV host: “Stabbing or running over [by car].”
Official Fatah Spokesman Ahmad Assaf: “Stabbing attempt, threat, running over [by car], and all such excuses have become like a broken record. Nobody in the world listens to the Israeli stories any longer… At the moment, the soldier himself at the Israeli checkpoint has absolute authority over our Palestinian people. This trivialization of murder and the spilling of Palestinian blood is not insignificant; it is Israel’s calculated policy. Israel intends to draw us into a position of violence, and a cycle of action and response… as the gangs of the settlers acted before [19]48, with acts of killing and genocide, and crimes they committed. Today [Israel] strives to implement the same policy.”

Muhammad Al-Atrash attempted to stab an Israeli border police officer at the Tapuach junction in the West Bank on Aug. 17, 2015. He was shot and killed by another police officer at the scene.
