“District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Laila Ghannam received the released prisoner Abd Al-Qadar Hammad upon his release from the occupation’s prison camps, where he spent 11 years… The district governor greeted prisoner Hammad… and noted that this holiday [Eid Al-Adha - Festival of Sacrifice] will remain sad, because our prisoners are not among us. She mentioned the hero prisoner Thaer Hammad, brother of the released prisoner, his excellent heroic deeds, and the resolve and heroic deeds of all our male and female prisoners.”
