The US asked him not to send a reconciliation delegation [to Hamas]. He said no, and sent it.
The US asked him not to go to the UN Security Council in order to demand a state. He said no, and went.
The US asked not to go to international organizations. He said no, and went.
The US asked him not to demand a state at the UN. He said no, went, and achieved recognition.
The US asked him not to end the negotiations after Israel stopped the release of the fourth round of prisoners from 1948 Palestine (i.e., Israeli Arabs). He said no, and ended the negotiations.
The US asked him not to go to Syria. He said no, and went.
The US asked him not to go to the International Criminal Court, threatened and pressured [him]. He said no, and went.
The US asked him not to act for the boycott against the products of the occupation in Europe. He said no, and acted.
Twelve times (sic., there are only eight examples given in the post), and today [Sept. 29, 2015] is the thirteenth time that he says no to the US (referring to Abbas’ speech at the UN on Sept. 29, 2015 –Ed.). Despite all the threats, the pressure, and the spreading of rumors against him, he said no.
He only says yes to his people, to Palestine, and to the Al-Aqsa Mosque... Show me an Arab leader or president, other than the great [former Egyptian President] Gamal Abdel Nasser, [former Iraqi President] Saddam Hussein, Yasser Arafat, and [former Saudi] King Faisal, who dared to say no to the US."
