Palestinian researcher on PA TV: Terror attacks that kill Israeli civilians are “acts of resistance”
Official PA TV program Palestine this Morning, hosting Samir Zaquot, coordinator of research units in the Al-Mezan Center in Gaza:
Samir Zaquot: "Today [Oct. 3, 2015] two settlers were killed on the West Bank, they were on occupied land, and they are part of the occupation, which means that the killing operations which the Palestinians carry out against settlers are not war crimes, but rather acts of resistance."
The Henkin murders - Israelis Naama and Eitam Henkin (also an American citizen) were murdered in a shooting attack on Oct. 1, 2015, on the road between Itamar and Elon Moreh in the West Bank. Their four children, aged 9, 7, 4, and 4 months, were also in the car and witnessed the murders, but were not physically injured.
Five suspects in the murder, members of a Hamas terrorist cell, were arrested by Israel and confessed to the murders. The leader of the group, Ragheb Ahmad Muhammad Aliwi, has served time in an Israeli prison for security related crimes.
Al-Mezan Center for Human Rights – founded in Gaza in 1999, its stated goals are the promotion and protection of human rights in Palestine, and especially in the Gaza Strip.
NGO-monitor has documented that the Al-Mezan Center is active in many campaigns against Israel, delegitimizes Israel’s right to exist, and is a signatory to the Palestinian Civil Society Call for BDS which calls for an end to Israel’s “occupation,” and advocates Palestinians’ right of return to all of Israel.
