Fatah: Israel is executing young Palestinians
Headline: “Assaf: ‘The time has come to get rid of the occupation, and we are willing to pay the price’”
“Official Fatah Spokesman Ahmad Assaf stated: ‘The time has come to get rid of the occupation and obtain freedom and independence,’ and emphasized that our people, which has made heavy sacrifices, is ready to sacrifice more, and it is the only one that will determine its self-definition in a free and independent state with its capital in Jerusalem. Assaf added in an interview with Mawtini Radio on Sunday [Oct. 4, 2015] morning that the occupation’s crimes and its direct executions of our young will not scare us, and will not prevent us from defending our Al-Aqsa [Mosque], our land, and our homes, but will rather increase our challenging [of this occupation] and insistence on opposing this occupation with all its components, soldiers and settlers alike. In addition, he called on our people to be vigilant and united in their stand against the settler terrorists in order to block their way, and not allow them to isolate our families and children. Regarding [Israeli Prime Minister] Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements, which placed the blame for the occurring events on Fatah and its leadership, Assaf said that the only ones responsible for all that is happening are Netanyahu and his right wing extreme government, the government of the settler murderers… Likewise, the Fatah movement saluted our many people in all the cities, villages, and refugee camps, first among them Jerusalem, the capital, and its Murabitin (those carrying out Ribat, religious conflict/war to protect land claimed to be Islamic), who defend their land, homes, and Al-Aqsa [Mosque] bravely and courageously.”
