PA PM criticizes Israeli victim for shooting his attacker who attempted to stab him; blames Israel for surge in violence

“[PA] Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah stated that the settlers' crimes are the main cause of the ignition of the situation on the West Bank, and in particular what a settler did yesterday morning in occupied Jerusalem, who attacked a young Jerusalemite and shot her (i.e., the Palestinian woman attacked and stabbed the Israeli with a knife, and then he shot her –Ed.). He added that Israel has to deter the settlers and stop the attacks against [Palestinian] citizens, and blamed the Israeli government for the escalation of the settlers and the occupation forces."
Shorouq Dweiat - Female Palestinian terrorist who stabbed an Israeli citizen in the Old City of Jerusalem on Oct. 7, 2015. In defense, he shot and injured her. She was then arrested by Israeli police.
