PA daily describes stabbing attacks and calls the terrorists “Martyrs”
Headline: “Two Martyrs and the closure of all the Arab neighborhoods of occupied Jerusalem”
“Two youths died as Martyrs yesterday [Oct. 14, 2015] in occupied Jerusalem. One of them, from Hebron, died as a Martyr (Shahid) from the occupation soldiers’ gunfire on the steps of the Damascus Gate [after,] as was claimed, he tried to stab Israelis. While this happened, the second Martyr, from the Ras Al-Amud neighborhood [of Jerusalem], fell as a Martyr in front of the [Jerusalem] central bus station when he was shot by the soldiers, after he stabbed a settler, severely injuring her.
Although yesterday gave a different impression than the previous few days, the sounds of live gunfire at the Damascus Gate reminded one of the security atmosphere prevailing in the city recently, and youth Basel Sidr (i.e., terrorist who stabbed one), 20 years old from Hebron, died as a Martyr after trying to stab soldiers and settlers in the area.
Video footage showed Sidr running down the Damascus Gate steps and the occupation soldiers chasing him and shooting at him, before soldiers who were at the bottom [of the steps] joined the shooting that appeared like a field execution. Moreover, the footage indicate that the Martyr was wearing military uniform and holding a knife in his left hand, and was hit by approximately 12 bullets, some of them when he was already injured on the ground.
In addition, released [prisoner] from Jerusalem youth Ahmad Sha’aban from the Ras Al-Amud – Silwan neighborhood, died as a Martyr, after being hit by bullets fired at him while he was at the Jerusalem central bus station in West Jerusalem. According to Israeli sources, Abu Sha’aban stabbed an Israel citizen with a knife, before [Israeli] soldiers managed to kill him a few meters away from the scene of the attack.”
Ahmad Sha’aban – a 23-year-old Palestinian terrorist, resident of East Jerusalem, who stabbed a 72-year-old woman outside the Jerusalem central bus station on Oct. 14, 2015. Sha’aban injured the woman and tried to board a bus with passengers in order to continue his attack. He was shot and killed by an Israeli policeman who was at the scene.
Basel Sidr – A 19-year-old Palestinian terrorist who tried to stab Israeli policemen near Damascus Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem on Oct. 14, 2015. Sidr was shot and killed when he tried to escape.
