Fatah official praises “murabitin” (those carrying out Ribat, religious conflict/war to protect land claimed to be Islamic)
Official PA TV News, live broadcast from the condolence tent for terrorist stabber Fadi Alloun. Interview with Assistant Secretary of Fatah in Jerusalem Shadi Mattour.
Assistant Secretary of Fatah in Jerusalem Shadi Mattour: “We say to the government of Israel, instead of seeking solutions to deter [Palestinian] residents of Jerusalem defending their mosque, it [the Israeli government] needs to think about what caused this situation. It needs to think about why Martyr (Shahid) Muhannad Halabi (i.e., terrorist who stabbed two to death) wrote on his [Facebook] page when he saw a Jerusalem woman being dragged away by the occupation forces. He came [to carry out the operation (i.e., stabbing attack)] in order to protect that woman, he came to help the Al-Aqsa Mosque… For the residents of Jerusalem the Al-Aqsa Mosque is an article of faith. The Israelis need to stay away from the Al-Aqsa Mosque plaza. The sights that the Palestinians see, what is happening to the Murabitin (those carrying out Ribat, religious conflict/war to protect land claimed to be Islamic) in the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and to our people, inflame the emotions of our Palestinian people. The Israelis are mistaken when they say that the problem is 50 Murabitin at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. At the moment of truth, all the Palestinian people will be Murabitin. Muhannad Halabi, the hero Martyr, was not one of the Murabitin, and despite this he broke through all the barriers and all their police, and came to carry out an operation for the Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
Fadi Alloun - 19-year-old Palestinian terrorist who stabbed and injured Israeli citizen Moshe Malka (15) near the Old City of Jerusalem on Oct. 3, 2015. Alloun fled and was shot and killed by Israeli police.
Muhannad Halabi - 19-year-old Palestinian terrorist who killed 2 Israelis, Rabbi Nehemiah Lavi and Aharon Bennett, and injured Bennett’s wife, Adele, and their 2-year-old son in a stabbing attack in the Old City of Jerusalem on Oct. 3, 2015. Following the attack, he was shot and killed by Israeli security forces. Prior to his attack, in a post to his private Facebook page, the terrorist referred to recent terror attacks as part of a "third Intifada,” and said that it was a response to Israel’s actions at the Al-Aqsa Mosque and that the Palestinian people would not “succumb to humiliation.” This is a reference to the PA libel that Israel is plotting to take over and destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque and to the PA's portrayal of Jews praying on the Temple Mount as "an invasion of the Al-Aqsa Mosque."
