As Palestinian Media Watch’s reports on the Palestinian Authority are growing in importance internationally, the Palestinian Authority is attacking PMW more frequently, accusing PMW of “incitement” against the PA and Mahmoud Abbas. Three times during the current Palestinian terror, PA officials or official PA media have attacked PMW.
Last week, the head of the press office of the PA Ministry of Information, Nida Younis, attacked PMW, telling official PA TV that PMW facilitates incitement by Israeli officials. She stated that Dore Gold, the Director General of Israel’s Foreign Ministry uses PMW’s findings for “incitement against the Palestinians and the Palestinian curriculum”:
Head of the Press Office, PA Ministry of Information, Nida Younis: “The Undersecretary of the [PA] Ministry of Information, [Mahmoud Khalifa], who found it necessary to produce a film about the Israeli incitement, especially now, when Dore Gold (Dir.-Gen. of Israel's Foreign Ministry) has intensified, for instance, through the PMW organization, the incitement against the Palestinians and the Palestinian curriculum.”

Official PA TV described an interview with Itamar Marcus on Israeli TV as an example of incitement against the PA and Mahmoud Abbas. During the interview, Marcus documented the PA and Mahmoud Abbas’ responsibility for the current outbreak of terror:
Official PA TV host: “Welcome dear viewers to a new episode of Israeli Media in the Spotlight. The incitement on the Israeli channels continues... In order to incite against [PA] President Abbas and the Palestinian media, Israeli Channel 10 (sic, Channel 20) was helped by Itamar Marcus, director of the Israeli organization PALWATCH (PMW), which specializes in monitoring PA TV. The [Israeli] channel accused President [Abbas] of igniting the escalation [of violence] in Jerusalem. The racism reached a new low when the host [Avri Gilad] said about a Palestinian girl who was talking with PA TV that she should drink bleach, a liquid used in Israel to clean toilets."

The official PA news agency WAFA likewise accused PMW of being the source of incitement against the PA, citing PMW’s comprehensive report on PA education:
"The WAFA news agency monitors the incitement and racism against Palestinians and Arabs that appear in the Israeli media. Following is what appeared in its report no. 267 ... The Israeli paper Israel Today published an article by Nadav Shragai which incites against Palestinian children. Shragai claimed in his article that 'the Palestinian children nurse hate from their families, and the kindergartens and schools are what turn them into terrorists and murderers.'.. [Shragai’s article is based on] the new PMW report, Education in the PA - a recipe for hate and terror.”
