"Director of PLO Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs Issa Karake and Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh district Laila Ghannam visited the families of a number of Christian prisoners of our people who are sitting in the occupation’s prisons, in order to bring them greetings for the holidays… Ghannam said that the Christian and Muslim holidays are national holidays… She added: “We bless all Palestinians for the national holidays, and they are not only Christian holidays. We are proud because Jesus is a Palestinian. The visit included the families of prisoners… [including the family of prisoner] Ibrahim Mas’ad.”
Ibrahim Mas’ad and Ibrahim Alqam – Palestinian terrorists belonging to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terror organization, who murdered Ita Tzur, 42, and her 11-year-old son Ephraim in a shooting attack on Dec. 11, 1996. Mas’ad and Alqam fired 120 bullets at the Tzur family’s car near Ramallah as the family drove home to Beit El. The father of the family, Yoel, was wounded, as were four of their daughters. Mas’ad and Alqam were arrested by the PA and given life sentences, but were released after only a few years and managed to hide until Israeli army and intelligence forces arrested them in Ramallah in June 2006. Mas’ad and Alqam are now serving 2 life sentences plus an additional 25 years in an Israeli prison.
