PA daily op-ed: Palestinian struggle isn’t terror, “and it is a struggle anchored in law, in international conventions and regulations”
Op-ed by Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul, columnist for official PA daily
Headline: “Hebron rebels against them”
“The popular Palestinian struggle cannot be included under any of the terror clauses. On the contrary, it is included in the framework of legitimate protection of national rights, and it is a struggle anchored in law, in international conventions and regulations. Therefore, the attempt of the head of the ruling coalition in Israel (i.e., Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu) to compare the struggle for national freedom with the organized Israeli terror is but a failed and foolish attempt. This is because it is impossible in principle to compare a legitimate struggle with the occupation state’s terror and the Israeli aggression and herds of settlers."
