Speaking at the Greek Parliament in December 2015, PA Chairman Abbas proclaimed the Palestinians' respect for Judaism and Jews:
"We are neighbors and we will be friends in the future... we are absolutely not against the Jewish religion... The Jewish religion is an honorable religion and we all honor it, appreciate it and recognize its sanctity."

However, when his PA TV addresses its Palestinian audience, Jews are the evil slayers of prophets, and the religion is "falsified." Palestinian Media Watch often has documented the Antisemitic hate speech on official PA TV, even to children, that would never be spoken to a European audience.
In one of his weekly broadcasts, PA TV host Imad Hamato, a preacher of Islam and professor of Quranic Studies at the University of Palestine in Gaza, explained that the Antisemitic forgery The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is an authentic Jewish plan and that it is being carried out by Israel right now.
Earlier this year he said that "humanity will never live in comfort as long as the Jews are causing devastating corruption throughout the land" and "if a fish in the sea fights with another fish, I am sure the Jews are behind it." [Official PA TV, Feb. 27, 2015]
Basing himself on the Quran, Hamato taught in November 2015, that Jews "are the slayers of the prophets and the slayers of the innocent," affirming that "there is a falsified Biblical base to their path of blood." He then went on to explain how Israel is implementing the alleged plan described in the Russian forgery The Protocol of the Elders of Zion which purports that Jews have a secret plan to overthrow the world and become its rulers.

In addition, the Judaization of people, Judaization of their thinking and education. This is a serious matter - the Judaization of people. Then they began to Judaize education by flooding the media, as was written in The Protocol of the Elders of Zion: 'We have to strive that the Westerner, the Arab, the American and the Australian will hear only what the Jews want him to hear.' They focused on this matter. Now, they have entered the 4th serious stage, the Judaization of the Islamic faith."

Abbas' declared embrace of Judaism and Jews to a European audience is not reflected in PA messages to the Palestinian people. PMW has documented other Antisemitic statements by Hamato on PA TV, along with children's recitals of poems describing Jews as "most evil among creations," or "Satan with a tail." Official PA TV has also broadcast a Fatah documentary several times, which claims that Europe created Israel to "get rid of" the corrupt, scheming Jews.
The libel that The Protocol of the Elders of Zion is an authentic document is often voiced by Palestinians as well.

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion is an Antisemitic forgery describing how Jews allegedly plan to subjugate the world under Jewish rule. It was published in Russia in 1903 and translated into multiple languages. In 1921, the Protocols of the Elders of Zion was exposed as a false document.Abbas addressing Greek Parliament: "A racist separation fence was built and continues to be built between us and the Israelis. We do not want a fence to separate us. We want a bridge that will connect us. We are neighbors and we will be friends in the future. What can prevent this? By the way, we are absolutely not against the Jewish religion, and we cannot be against the Jewish religion. The Jewish religion is an honorable religion and we all honor it, appreciate it and recognize its sanctity. Our problem is with the Zionist occupation."
