Official PA daily praises murderer of Israeli policewoman
Headline: “The three self-sacrificing fighters (Fedayeen) (part 2): Martyr Muhammad Kmeil, rebel of rebels”
“Jihad fighter Muhammad Kmeil was seriously injured in the battle of Jenin, (part of the 1936-1939 Palestinian revolt. –Ed.) while his wife’s brother died as a Martyr (Shahid) in this battle. If a doctor had not examined Muhammad, who was barely breathing, they would have laid him with the Martyrs’ bodies. This happened in 1936, during the great Palestinian revolt against the British colonialist forces. That year, Jihad fighter Muhammad Kmeil was destined to recover and survive. He went on with his life and fathered children, and then had grandchildren. One of them is the self-sacrificing fighter Muhammad Kmeil who participated in the battle of 2016 (i.e., wave of Palestinian terror attacks, September 2015-April 2016, including Kmeil’s attack) that took place in Jerusalem this time.
Martyr Muhammad Ahmad Kmeil was born in 1996 to a family that has known resistance for a long time, and whose sons’ names entered the lists of Martyrs throughout the Palestinian people’s revolts and intifadas…
The occupation forces have recently notified the family that its home is to be demolished, just as they do with dozens of [other] Martyrs and prisoners’ families, but this meant nothing to the Kmeils, as their tears continued to flow because of the separation from Muhammad ...
[Muhammad’s] father, mother, brother, and those who loved him spoke proudly of the son Muhammad, who despised the occupation and its actions against his people. And no wonder, after all he comes from a family that has sacrificed several Martyrs…
Muhammad Kmeil and Ahmed Zakarneh were close friends… so much that they were united by the desire to die as Martyrs in the Holy City [Jerusalem], where they achieved this ( “Martyrdom” while dying in a terror attack they carried out –Ed.) together.”
Note: This article is the second among a series of articles about the three terrorists who carried out the attack in Damascus Gate in Jerusalem (see note). The first article from Feb. 13, 2016 was about terrorist Ahmad Zakarneh.
Ahmad Abu Al-Rub, Ahmad Zakarneh and Muhammad Kmeil - Three Palestinian terrorists in their early 20's who shot and stabbed two Israeli police officers at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem on Feb. 3, 2016. One of the officers, 19-year-old Hadar Cohen, was fatally wounded and died of her wounds. The second officer was seriously wounded. The terrorists, who attacked the policewomen after they were asked for identification, were carrying machine guns, knives, and pipe bombs, leading the police to suspect they were planning a mass attack against civilians. The terrorists were shot and killed at the scene by Israeli police.
