Fatah calls on all Palestinians to “join the popular resistance,” referring to ongoing terror wave
Headline: “The [Fatah] Revolutionary Council calls to urgently implement the decisions of the [PLO] Central Council] to limit relations with the occupying authority”
“The [Fatah] Revolutionary Council salutes the mighty Arab Palestinian people, all of its sectors and parts, for its resolve and refusal to surrender and grovel, this people, that expresses through the continuation of the peaceful popular resistance (term here refers to the 4-month long wave of Palestinian terror attacks, which included numerous stabbings, shootings and car rammings murdering dozens of Israelis-Ed.), its utter refusal of the occupation’s steps and its attempts to eliminate the national cause by Judaizing Jerusalem and its holy sites and the continuation of the settlement occupation colonialism in the Palestinian territories that were occupied in 1967. The council calls on all the sectors of our people to join the popular resistance.”
The terms "all means," "peaceful uprising,” and “popular uprising" are often used by PA leaders to refer to events that include violence and deadly terror against Israeli civilians such as rock-throwing, stabbings and even shootings. See Mahmoud Abbas' reference to murderous terror as "peaceful" during the 2015-2016 terror wave (“The Knife Intifada”), which included numerous stabbing attacks.
