PA district governor praises PLO youth council for holding camp named after Dalal Mughrabi

Posted text: “District Governor of Ramallah and El-Bireh Dr. Laila Ghannam welcomed a delegation at her office two days ago [Feb. 25, 2017] from the Center [West Bank] Council [of the PLO Supreme Council for Youth and Sports], which included Director-General of the Center [West Bank] Council Mu’tasim Abu Gharbieh…
The delegation briefed Dr. Ghannam on the joint preparations for the first Brothers of Dalal camp for youth. Abu Gharbieh explained about the preparations for holding the camp, about the central role of the Ramallah and El-Bireh district, and especially about the solidarity rally that will take place as part of the camp’s activities on the ninth of next month [March 9, 2017] at the Al-Manara Square (i.e., in central Ramallah). Abu Gharbieh gave Ghannam a detailed program of the camp and an official invitation to the camp’s opening ceremony, which will take place on March 7 at the Jericho Municipality square.
Dr. Ghannam welcomed the delegation and welcomed its efforts to hold a camp named after Martyr (Shahida) Dalal Mughrabi (i.e., terrorist who led murder of 37, 12 of them children). She praised the creative initiative and its goals, and particularly everything connected to remembering the pure-hearted Martyrs and the unceasing demand to return the bodies of the Martyrs [who are buried] in the numbered cemetery (i.e., Israeli cemetery for terrorists and enemy soldiers), and the bodies of the Martyrs of the Jerusalem uprising (i.e., Palestinian terror wave 2015-2016, see note below) that are located in the occupation’s [morgue] refrigerators. She expressed full willingness to cooperate with the council in order to bring about the success of the camp and the solidarity rally. She also ordered all of the parties involved in the matter to do all that is necessary so that the solidarity rally will take place in a worthy fashion for Martyr Mughrabi, her comrades (i.e., in the 1978 Coastal Road massacre), and all of Palestine’s Martyrs.”

Dalal Mughrabi led the most lethal terror attack in Israel’s history, known as the Coastal Road massacre, in 1978, when she and other Fatah terrorists hijacked a bus on Israel's Coastal Highway, killing 37 civilians, 12 of them children, and wounding over 70.
The Cemeteries for Enemy Casualties are two burial sites maintained by the Israeli army for burying the bodies of enemy soldiers as well as terrorists. They are fenced and well-marked. Graves have markers instead of gravestones. Burial is temporary, on the assumption that the bodies will eventually be returned to their countries of origin. No ceremony is held. The bodies are buried in numbered caskets, after their identities have been documented.
Palestinian terror wave (2015-2016) – Palestinian violence and terror attacks against Israelis, including stabbings, shootings, throwing Molotov cocktails, and car rammings. It started in September 2015 and as of July 2016, 40 people were killed (36 Israelis, 1 Palestinian, 2 Americans, and 1 foreign worker from Eritrea) and over 500 wounded.
