A medical source in the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, Deir Al-Balah, revealed that poison gas was used in the missiles that hit the tunnel, (sic., Israel has denied this claim) and that the doctors still do not know what type it is, since it was used for the first time...
As part of the Palestinian responses, yesterday the national factions and popular activists condemned the Israeli crime. The Fatah Movement condemned the Israeli crime and emphasized in a statement yesterday that this pure blood was not spilled in vain, and that those who committed the crime will not escape justice. [Fatah] said that this Israeli crime is part of a policy of escaping forward that the governments of Israel are implementing in an attempt to escape from the corruption trials that they are dealing with, at the expense of the blood of our people…
Fatah Revolutionary Council Deputy Secretary-General Dr. Fayez Abu Aita said that the most appropriate response to the ugly Israeli crime in Khan Yunis is progress in implementing the Palestinian [Fatah-Hamas] reconciliation agreement, and thwarting the occupier’s efforts to create tensions.”

On Oct. 30, 2017, Israel destroyed an Islamic Jihad attack tunnel from Gaza that crossed into Israeli territory near the Israeli town of Kissufim. At least twelve members of the Islamic Jihad terror organizations, including senior terrorist commanders, were killed in the explosion of the tunnel. The Israeli army reported that the dead were killed when they entered the tunnel after it was blown up.
