Palestinian allegedly killed by Israel told his family: "I’m sick of life... I want to die," Mother of “Martyr” praises death of son: “I am proud of him"
Ruptly (RT), Dec. 16, 2017
Brother of Ibrahim Abu Thuraya: "Two days ago, when my brother sat down to eat with us, he said: 'Forgive me, my brother, this is the last night you’ll see me. You too, mother, forgive me. You too, my brothers, forgive me.' He kissed my father’s hand and foot and said to him: 'Forgive me, if I behaved badly to you, forgive me. This is it. This is the last night you are seeing me. Father, I have decided to die as a Martyr because I’m sick of life. This is it, I have no legs, nothing is left. This is it, I want to die and rest from this life.'"

Mother of Ibrahim Abu Thuraya: "Praise Allah, he [Ibrahim] achieved Martyrdom and I’m proud of him. By Allah, he has made us proud. He wasn’t married. He wanted to marry, but I didn’t have the means to marry him off. He will marry dark-eyed virgins in Paradise... He said goodbye to us and left, saying, 'I want to die as a Martyr. This is it, I intend to die as a Martyr, farewell. Mother, take care of yourself. You have diabetes and high blood pressure. You’re going to be the mother of a Martyr and I will pray for you up above.' Praise Allah, he achieved what he wanted. He is [now] really a groom. His scent is musk."

Ibrahim Abu Thuraya - 29-year-old Palestinian, a former member of the PA Presidential Security Force 17 who lost his legs during the Gaza war in 2008 – Israel’s Operation Cast Lead, which aimed to stop Hamas' launching of rockets into Israel. Palestinian sources say Abu Thuraya was shot and killed during a confrontation with the Israeli army on the border between Gaza and Israel on Dec. 15, 2017. The Israeli army conducted an inquiry and found that “no direct fire was aimed at Abu Thuraya.” The army asked the Palestinians for precise details regarding the characteristics of his injury, but they refused to supply information. Given this refusal, the Israeli army was unable to determine the cause of death.
