PA journalist compares anniversary of Mughrabi's terrorism with Mothers' Day, International Women's Day
Nufudh Al-Bakri, journalist for official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida:
"Our ancestors said in their proverbs that the month of March is the month of earthquakes and rain. And we say that this month is the month of women, roses and flowers - and how could it not be so, when it includes occasions related to women, including March 8 [International Women's Day], Mothers' Day, the anniversary of the heroine Dalal Mughrabi's Martyrdom, the Battle of Karameh [March 21, 1968] Day, the Spring Festival, and a great number of national occasions and [remembrances of] massacres by the occupation.'"
Note: Dalal Mughrabi led the most lethal terror attack in Israel's history in 1978, when she and other terrorists hijacked a bus and killed 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
