Vile Antisemitism on Fatah's Facebook Page

Itamar Marcus  |

How Mahmoud Abbas' Fatah sees the Jewish role in the world:

  • "The [Jewish] tribe led the project to enslave humanity"

  • "[The Jews] were hated because of their racism and their filthy behavior"

  • The Jews allied with Nazis to burn Jews "to accumulate wealth"

  • The Jews say: "Only we are people, and all the others are our animals"

  • "Non-Jews... according to their worldview are snakes"

  • The Jews established "ghettos in order to separate from other people out of arrogance and disgust for non-Jews"

  • "Seventy years have passed since the artificial state's [Israel's] establishment... They [the Jews] have not removed from their consciousness the view of the other as inferior and the right to spill the blood of the nations"

Palestinian Media Watch has documented that Facebook has chosen to keep Fatah's Facebook page open despite the recurring terror promotion that Fatah posts. While PMW has not focused on Fatah's use of Facebook for its hate speech, it is significant that Facebook is also Fatah's social media platform of choice to disseminate its hate speech and Antisemitism.

Fatah’s dissemination of hate speech against Jews like its terror promotion is a serious threat, because it is hate that fuels and motivates terror.

One recent example of the Antisemitism that Facebook disseminated for Fatah is a loathsome video produced by Fatah’s Commission of Information and Culture, which demonizes Jews and their role in Europe. According to the Fatah video, Jews have feelings of superiority and see non-Jews as animals and snakes. Accordingly the Jews themselves decided to separate from other Europeans and chose to live in isolated ghettos. In these ghettos, Fatah’s history lesson continues, Jews schemed to “enslave humanity,” by accumulating wealth and power, and even cooperated with the Nazis to burn Jews for profit. According to Fatah's video the Jews were hated because of their evil behavior and not because of their religion, an opinion which was also recently expressed by PA and Fatah Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.

Following is from the post on Facebook:

Posted text on Fatah Facebook:

"The Children of Israel
Prepared and presented by Dr. Iyad Abu Zneit
Produced by the Fatah Movement Commission of Information and Culture"

Video narration:

"In Europe, the [Jewish] tribe established camps and residential areas, crowded ghettos in order to separate from other people out of arrogance and disgust for non-Jews, who do not reach their status, and who according to their [Jews'] worldview are snakes and sons of snakes. There [in the ghettos] they schemed to exploit the others' material and human resources... The people of the world began to hate the [Jewish] tribe's ghettos and the warehouses for export of hate and exploitation. [The Jews] were hated because of their racism and their filthy behavior - and not because of their superiority, or their intelligence, or their being religious, or their being better. Zionism was born from the womb of exploitation, while taking advantage of this hatred [towards the Jews] and turning it once again into a colonialist tool. The rich people of the [Jewish] tribe led the project to enslave humanity and exploit it, while trading in the blood of their own people, enjoying their weakness, and creating ties with those [Nazis] who burned them, in order to turn them into a tool of production and to accumulate wealth. A homeland was established for them on the blood of new victims, again the residents of Canaan... Seventy years have passed since the artificial state's [Israel's] establishment, and all the theories of modernization and development have not removed the idea of superiority, the idea of [racial] purity, and the idea of enslaving the peoples from the [Jewish] tribe's mind. They [the Jews] have not removed from their consciousness   the view of the other as inferior and the right to spill the blood of the nations... They again swear to themselves: "There is no law and no order. There is no equality and no justice. We [Jews] are a nation that is above the [other] nations. We are the people that was chosen by God - we use holy violence. Only we are people, and all the others are our animals."

Another recent antisemitic hate post by Fatah on Facebook justified the Nazi murder of Jews. Fatah posted three photos from World War II together with a fictitious story it presented as authentic. According to the story posted by Fatah, Jews willingly and eagerly agreed to bury Russian civilians alive in order to save their own lives. Seeing this, a Nazi soldier proclaimed to the Russians:

"I just wanted you to know who the Jews are and why we are killing them!"

Another example of Fatah spreading Antisemitism on Facebook was Fatah’s reposting an anti-Semitic Holocaust denying video after Al-Jazeera had removed it from website and suspended the Al-Jazeera employees who produced it. Fatah was upset that Al-Jazeera removed the antisemitic video and decided to post it on its Fatah Facebook page, with these words:

Al-Jazeera TV did a favor to the occupation (i.e., Israel) and erased the video. Let’s publish it again.

The video included many hate messages among them:
“Israel, which benefitted the most from the Holocaust, is using the same Nazi justifications as a basis for ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians and for their annihilation...”

Al-Jazeera found the video so offensive that when it removed the video it announced:
"... it has taken disciplinary action and suspended two of its journalists over video content produced on the Holocaust,” adding: “Al Jazeera would not tolerate such material on any of the Network’s platforms.”

If you are outraged about Facebook’s willingness to keep’s Facebook page open knowing that Fatah produces and posts hate speech like this, in addition to the terror promotion on their platform, please click here to send a pre-written letter to Facebook demanding they close Fatah’s antisemitic and terror promoting Facebook page.
