“Either [we’ll be] living in dignity on this land or [we’ll be] Martyrs in the belly of this land” - PA Mufti urges dying in conflict

PA Mufti Muhammad Hussein: “We have a wise expression or slogan that says: “Either [we’ll be] living in dignity on this land or [we’ll be] Martyrs in the belly of this land.” There is no other alternative for the Palestinians - in the holy city and other [places] like it in the Palestinian lands - except to study and take shelter in the shade of this slogan.”

The Grand Mufti made this statement at a seminar in Jordan for journalists and communication professionals called “Jerusalem under occupation.”

Muhammad Hussein also serves as Deputy Secretary-General and acting Secretary-General of the PLO Popular National Conference of Jerusalem.
