Murder of 10 was “one of the best heroic operations,” says released prisoner
PA TV host instructs viewers to glorify murderer of 10: “It is the duty of the Palestinian people to send special greetings to prisoner Thaer Hammad”
“One of the best heroic operations” is how a released Palestinian prisoner described the murder of 10 Israelis in 2002.
Shooting with a sniper rifle from a hilltop in Wadi Al-Haramiya between Ramallah and Nablus on March 3, 2002, terrorist Thaer Hammad killed 10 Israelis - 3 civilians and 7 soldiers.
For this Thaer Hammad is serving 11 life sentences.
For this Thaer Hammad has already been paid 829,500 shekels/252,403 US dollars by the PA. Every month the PA pays him an additional 7,000 shekels/2,251 US dollars.
On the anniversary of the attack, a host on official PA TV glorified the murderer, instructing viewers that it is everyone’s “duty” to “send special greetings” to the murderer. Following this invitation, released prisoner Musa Hamed praised the terror attack as “the operation whose voice echoed worldwide” and “one of the best”:
Official PA TV host: "Especially today it is our duty, and the duty of the Palestinian people, and of the members of Fatah to send special greetings to prisoner Thaer Hammad (i.e., terrorist, murdered 10)…
Released prisoner Musa Hamed: “I send greetings to all the prisoners, and especially to our brother Thaer Hammad. Today is the anniversary of the Wadi Al-Haramiya operation (i.e., Hammad’s terror attack), the operation whose voice echoed worldwide. The strength of this operation, which our brother Thaer carried out at a [young] age – the Israeli army and the occupation state were left confused about it for about three years. They didn’t know what happened. Praise Allah, he carried out an operation that was one of the best heroic operations that were carried out on the soil of the homeland.”

Palestinian Media Watch has exposed that Abbas’ Fatah Movement reveres “heroic” murderer Hammad and has encouraged others to follow in his footsteps because “our people needs men like you." In 2021, Fatah used him to garner votes, putting the murderer on an election poster.

The PA has endorsed and glorified him as well, calling him “heroic prisoner sniper Thaer Hammad.”
