  • “With our souls and our blood, we will redeem you... Millions of Martyrs are marching to Jerusalem, We will die and Palestine will live” – Fatah official leads chant at rally

  • “I want to die as a Martyr and meet the Creator” - terrorist who shot at Israeli forces

At a recent rally in Ramallah in support of imprisoned Palestinian terrorists, the choice of song by the Palestinian crowd doesn’t leave much to the imagination in terms of what the Palestinians want:

Crowd: “Hey come on, Martyrdom is a call of Allah,
Martyrdom is a call of Allah…
O prisoner, worry not!
Your young ones drink [their enemies’] blood,
your young ones drink blood…
The prisoner’s mother calls:
Kidnap a soldier for my children, kidnap a soldier for my children …
Put the sword against the sword,
We are the people of Muhammad Deif (i.e., Hamas terrorist leader)”

In other words, according to the message of the song, Allah wants Palestinians to die as “Martyrs” while using violence and terror against Israel – “drink blood” and “put the sword against the sword.” And Palestinians are willing to comply. They are also in favor of kidnapping Israeli soldiers to use as bargaining chips for the release of imprisoned terrorists. This is what the Hamas terror organization did when it kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit and held him captured for 5 years until Israel ultimately agreed to release 1,027 of soldiers in exchange for him.

Another recent chant, this time led by Fatah Jenin Branch Secretary Ata Abu Rmeileh and answered by the participants in a Fatah rally in Jenin, also encourages and calls for sacrificing one’s souls and blood, presents death for “Palestine” as an ideal, and repeats the well-known saying by Arafat: “Millions of Martyrs are marching to Jerusalem.”

Fatah Jenin Branch Secretary Ata Abu Rmeileh leads chant, crowd answers: “With our souls and our blood, we will redeem you, O prisoner
With our souls and our blood, we will redeem you, O Martyr
Millions of Martyrs are marching to Jerusalem
We will die and Palestine will live”

Another testimony of some Palestinians’ eagerness to become “Martyrs” for Allah while fighting Israel was delivered at the funeral of terrorists Abdallah Al-Hasri and Shadi Khaled Najm who were killed while they shot at Israeli security forces. The brother of terrorist Al-Hasri recounted how his brother had expressed his wish to die and meet Allah:

Brother of terrorist Abdallah Al-Hasri: “Praise Allah, [Abdallah Al-Hasri] sought [Martyrdom] and received it. He wanted to die as a Martyr. He told me: “Don’t leave the refugee camp. I want to die as a Martyr.” I told him: “My brother, you see the Jews? They’re coming in to kill.” He told me: “[This is] common. I want to die as a Martyr. I want to meet the Creator.”

Palestinian Media Watch has documented the PA’s encouragement of Palestinians to seek Martyrdom-death by carrying out terror attacks.

The sentence “We are the people of Muhammad Deif” has become a slogan for the imprisoned Palestinian terrorists and is shouted by activists at demonstrations and rallies in support for the terrorists and their release from Israeli prison.

Muhammad Deif – Palestinian terrorist and chief commander of the Izz A-Din Al-Qassam Brigades (Hamas' military wing). He organized several terror attacks, including the first Jaffa Street suicide bombing in Jerusalem (27 murdered, 35 wounded, Feb. 25, 1996), the second Jaffa Street suicide bombing in Jerusalem (18 murdered, over 40 wounded, March 3, 1996), the Ashkelon Junction suicide bombing (1 murdered, 35 wounded, March 3, 1996), the Elei Sinai shooting attack (2 murdered, 15 wounded, Oct. 2, 2001 and the Atzmona shooting attack (5 murdered, 15 wounded, March 7, 2002). He also led the cell that kidnapped and murdered 3 Israeli soldiers: Shahar Simani (April 20, 1994), Aryeh Frankental (July 7, 1994), and Nachshon Wachsman (Oct. 9, 1994).

Gilad Shalit was an Israeli soldier who was kidnapped and held hostage by Hamas for more than 5 years. During that time, he was denied visits from the International Committee of the Red Cross and was not allowed communication with his family, in violation of his rights under the Geneva Convention. Numerous human rights organizations criticized Hamas for confining Shalit under conditions that were contrary to international humanitarian law. In October 2011, the Israeli government agreed to release 1,027 Palestinian prisoners from Israeli prison in exchange for Shalit.

Abdallah Khaled Daabas – 20-year-old Palestinian terrorist who - together with terrorist accomplices Ahmed Fuqaha, 19, and Muhammad Ayman Fathi, 20 - attempted to enter Israel from the PA on a bus bringing Palestinians without entry permits to the Temple Mount, in order to carry out a shooting attack in coastal Israel on May 7, 2021. Israeli security forces stopped the bus for a security check at Salem checkpoint near Jenin, at which point the terrorists got off and opened fire at them, causing the security forces to return fire and kill Daabas and one of the other terrorists, while critically wounding the third.
