Murder of 3 Israeli civilians praised by Palestinian terror organizations
Fatah taking responsibility for the murder of Israeli kindergarten teacher and mother of 3:
- "Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them"
- Murderous attack was committed “out of loyalty to the commitment to our Martyrs, and out of our loyalty to the choice of the rifle as a strategic choice. Glory and eternity to our pure Martyrs”
- Fatah publishes footage of murder of 2, calls murderer “hero”
PFLP:
- Murder of Israeli kindergarten teacher and mother of 3 “proves the spirit of will and determination of the resistance”
- “This operation is a continuation of the intensification of the resistance”
- Israel “must anticipate additional operations of this kind in the coming days”
DFLP:
- Murder of Israeli father and son was “heroic operation”
Israel should expect more terror attacks against civilians, according to threats from Palestinian terror organizations that vowed to “choose the rifle” and “intensify the resistance” – the Palestinian euphemism for terror - following the murder of an Israeli woman earlier this month.
Batsheva Nagari - an Israeli kindergarten teacher and mother of 3 in her 40s who was shot and murdered by two Palestinian terrorists in front of her 12-year-old daughter, while the two were hitching a ride near Hebron on Aug. 21, 2023. The driver giving them a ride was also shot and seriously wounded in the attack. The terrorists, who fired over 20 bullets, fled the scene before being arrested the following day
The terror wing of PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah Movement immediately took responsibility for the murder in an official announcement. Quoting the Quran and thanking Allah, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades called for more terror against Israelis:

‘Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them’ [Quran 9:14, Sahih International translation]
With Almighty Allah’s help, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades – Palestine, the military wing of the [Palestinian] National Liberation Movement ‘Fatah,’ announces its responsibility for carrying out the self-sacrificing operation (i.e., terror attack) in Hebron… [on] Aug. 21, 2023, in which a female Zionist settler was killed and another was seriously wounded.”

Fatah repeated its allegiance to violence, stating that the attack was committed:
“Out of loyalty to the commitment to our Martyrs, and out of our loyalty to the choice of the rifle as a strategic choice.
This is a revolution until victory.
A killing for a killing, a bombing for a bombing, fear for fear”

In the Gaza Strip, Fatah celebrated the murder of the Israeli mother by handing out sweets:
The picture shows uniformed men with assault rifles handing out candies. A patch is visible on the sleeve with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades logo on it, featuring crossed assault rifles over the Dome of the Rock.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terror organization stressed that the murder of Nagari is just part of the Palestinian terror strategy, which will continue “until the last Israeli leaves the land.” Thus, the PFLP threatened that Israel “must anticipate additional “operations” of this kind in the coming days”:
“The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) praised the shooting operation in the settlement of Kiryat Arba in Hebron…The PFLP said: ‘This operation is a continuation of the intensification of the resistance…
It noted that this operation conveyed strong messages to the occupation’s leaders: They will not succeed in killing the Palestinian people’s spirit of will and determination to adhere to the option of resistance until the last Israeli leaves the land, and they must anticipate additional operations of this kind in the coming days.”
[Ma’an, independent Palestinian news agency, Aug. 21, 2023]
Earlier this month, Palestinian Media Watch exposed that PA Chairman Abbas called to “escalate the peaceful popular resistance” – a euphemism for terror. The murder of Nagari may very well have been in response to this call.
Similarly, a few days before the murder of Nagari, an Israeli father and son – Shai Silas Nigrekar and Aviad Nir Nigrekar – were shot and murdered by a Palestinian terrorist while they were having their car washed in Hawara, south of Nablus.
Abbas’ Fatah glorified these murders with a video showing security camera footage of the attack in which terrorist Osama Bani Fadl murdered the two Israelis. Part of the video shows someone giving one of the victims a heart massage. A song glorifying the murderer plays in the background:
Lyrics: “You saw the hero, you saw
You saw the one who does not fear
From the moment he appeared you recognized him
And whoever doesn’t see [him] is blind.
He imposed a curfew
In order to clarify to the evil ones:The previous times are over.
He sounds a thunderous roar,
He stands before death.
O he who snipes the soldiers
Who blows up the head of the Yamam (Israel’s National Counter Terror Unit).”Text in upper left corner: “The Hawara operation – Aug. 19, 2023”

Referring to the murders as the “heroic Hawara operation,” the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) terror organization “congratulated the masses of our Palestinian people” while calling the victims “settlers,” even though they were both from the Israeli coastal city of Ashdod, 35 km south of Tel Aviv. [Donia Al-Watan, independent Palestinian news agency, Aug. 20, 2023]
All the Palestinian terror groups, and the PA, routinely blame Israel for Palestinian terror, presenting all Palestinian terror as a “legitimate response” to something Israel did. After this murderous attack on two civilians, the DFLP blamed it on “Israeli aggression and terror,” and promised more terror:
“The occupation only understands the language of force, and the Israeli aggression and terror will only lead to an escalation of the resistance in all its forms (i.e., Palestinian term that also refers to the use of violence and terror).”
[Donia Al-Watan, independent Palestinian news agency, Aug. 19, 2023]
Reporting on the killing, the PA - consistent with its fundamental ideology – did not define the murders as “terror,” rather the official PA daily informatively noted that 33 Israelis have been killed this year in “operations,” and 10 “operations” have been carried out in Hawara alone.
“Following the operation that was carried out yesterday, the number of Israelis killed in operations (i.e., terror attacks) carried out since the start of the current year [2023] rises to 33. Likewise, the number of operations that were carried out in Hawara rises to 10.”

The following are longer excerpts of the statements by the Palestinian terror organizations cited above:
Text: “A military announcement from the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades – Hebron Area
‘Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them’ [Quran 9:14, Sahih International translation]
With Almighty Allah’s help, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades – Palestine, the military wing of the [Palestinian] National Liberation Movement ‘Fatah,’ announces its responsibility for carrying out the self-sacrificing operation (i.e., terror attack) in Hebron, near the settlement of Kiryat Arba – the settler Highway 60 – this morning, Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, in which a female Zionist settler was killed and another was seriously wounded (refers to murder of Batsheva Nagari; see note below -Ed.). This operation comes as a natural response to the occupation’s crimes and its arrogance.
We emphasize that the operation comes on the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Mosque arson in 1969, in order to recall to memory the crimes of the Zionist enemy (sic., the arson was committed by Michael Rohan, an Australian Christian with a mental health disorder).
[The operation also comes] out of loyalty to the commitment to our Martyrs, and out of our loyalty to the choice of the rifle as a strategic choice.
Glory and eternity to our pure Martyrs, and a speedy recovery to our heroic wounded.
This is a revolution until victory.
