Fatah continues to demonize Trump

Fatah, the movement headed by Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, is continuing the PA anti-Trump demonization that Palestinian Media Watch has documented.

The latest expression of hatred was made following President-elect Donald Trump's demand for the immediate release of Israeli hostages by Hamas or else all hell would break loose. Fatah chose to portray Trump as a gasoline pump spreading fire.

The headline above the cartoon was "Trump Promises ‘Hell' in the Middle East" and the text printed below it said: "Whenever they ignite the fire of war, Allah extinguishes it."

The text is significant. It is taken from a Quranic (5:64) description that is a demonization of Jews as wicked, unbelieving, hostile, and hateful. The verse continues: "Whenever they ignite the fire of war, Allah extinguishes it. And they strive to spread corruption in the land. And Allah does not like corruptors."

Fatah is saying that Donald Trump is similar to a Jew with despicable characteristics, including someone who likes "igniting fire," but that Allah will defeat him.
