How the Palestinian Authority valorizes murder and why it wants dead Gazans

• Marcus: "There are two very important messages for the PA so that people will hate the Jews and think the Jews are irreparable. One is that evil is in our nature, in our DNA…The second is that this is in our tradition, it is in the Torah. We are commanded by the Torah to kill"
• "These two messages cause deep hatred and even fear of the Jews [among Palestinians], and justifies killing Jews because if that's how the Jew is… then I, the Palestinian, have a right to kill a Jew anywhere and anytime to defend myself"

Director of Palestinian Media Watch Itamar Marcus was interviewed on Israeli Channel 14 about the antisemitic ideology of the Palestinian Authority and its use of this ideology to legitimize murder of Israelis and create willing "Martyrs for Allah" among the Palestinian population.

Channel 14 TV host: "Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) Director Itamar Marcus.

We still hear that the Palestinian Authority continues to spread antisemitic blood libels and encourage death. Is this true?"

PMW Director Itamar Marcus: "Yes, this is true. We're always talking about Hamas and what they've done, let's not forget that it's the PA that created the hatred that gave Hamas the power. This continues to this day."

Host: "Let's watch the video that we'll comment on from the PA that portrays not only the Jews as evil and cruel in our essence, but also says this comes from Judaism itself, from the Torah"

Official PA TV Israeli affairs "expert" Nizar Nazzal: "We have noticed that some of the [Israeli] soldiers are acting according to texts from the Torah. I have noticed that the Israelis are killing the cats, donkeys, and mules. This of course exists in the Torah texts. Since Gaza City, Nablus, and Hebron, these three cities according to the Torah – which is of course corrupted - are considered disobedient cities or cities of darkness, and everything that moves in them must be killed, starting with the animals. Therefore, we have seen the Israeli army killing the cats, animals, and human beings, bodies [and carcasses] are scattered on the roadsides, entire hospitals are burned down."

We hate them and we hate everyone, and therefore we are irreparable. The second is that this is in our tradition, it is in the Torah. [The PA claims] we are commanded by the Torah to kill, even animals as you heard. These two messages that keep appearing continuously for years cause deep hatred and even fear of the Jews, and justifies killing Jews because if that's how the Jew is, then I [Palestinian] am always in danger. Therefore, I, the Palestinian, have a right to kill a Jew anywhere and anytime to defend myself."

Host: "We have another [PMW] video of the PA. It continues to encourage the residents to aspire to die for Allah, even while most of the residents want to live."

Official Fatah Spokesman in the Gaza Strip Mundhir Al-Hayek: "Israel wants us to clearly declare that we want to leave the Gaza Strip. We say it's an illusion. We stand before two alternatives, and they are the alternative of death or… migration. We have chosen the alternative of death in the Gaza Strip."

Itamar Marcus: "Yes, this is very important tactically. We in PMW published that a survey even before Oct. 7, [2023 showed that] already more than 50% of the Gazans, the young up to age 35, wanted to leave. Today it's probably 90% who want to leave - they can't survive there. But the leadership, and this is a Fatah member who said this, demands that they stay. There are several reasons: The more they stay, there will be more killed. The more killed, Israel is more isolated in the world and our international situation worsens. There are states, like Canada, England, and France that want to impose sanctions against Israel. That's why they [PA leaders] prefer that their residents are killed. They say this as if on their behalf: ‘We prefer to die rather than to emigrate from this place.' Of course this is cruel. It's simply a crime what the Palestinian leadership is doing to its own residents."
