Among Fatah's leadership candidates:

  • 15 murderers who in total murdered 22 people

  • 8 terrorists who orchestrated attacks in which 53 people were murdered

Today, at the Eighth General Conference of PA Chairman Abbas' Fatah Movement, at least 32 released terrorists who together murdered or were responsible for the murders of 75 Israelis and others will be running in the leadership elections for the Fatah Central Committee and Fatah Revolutionary Council.

Director of the PLO Commission of Prisoners' Affairs Raed Abu Al-Humus revealed the list of candidates a week ago. Among the 32 terrorists are 15 murderers who in total murdered 22 people, 8 terrorists who orchestrated attacks in which 53 people were murdered, and 9 other terrorists who carried out attacks and terror activity against Israelis (see list below).

Abu Al-Humus repeated what Palestinian Media Watch has already exposed – that terrorists who have been imprisoned more than 20 years were granted membership in Fatah's Conference:

"The Palestinian leadership and the Fatah leadership honored the recently released prisoners (i.e., terrorists) from Fatah by approving the membership of anyone who served 20 years or more [in prison], which allowed the membership of 388 members, including some released female prisoners."

Abu Al-Humus explained:

"It was necessary that we adequately represent the magnitude of the struggle and sacrifice of hundreds and thousands of years that were burned in prisons, show loyalty to the resolute brothers we left behind, reflect our culture, affiliation, and commitment to the Fatah leadership and its [Fatah] Chairman [and PA President Mahmoud Abbas], and be part of the decision-making process."

Posted text: "[Director of PLO Commission of Prisoners' Affairs Raed] Abu Al-Humus: ‘The list of candidates from among the released prisoners (i.e., terrorists) for the [Fatah] Central Committee and the [Fatah] Revolutionary Council has been completed'

May 8, 2026

On Friday, [May 8, 2026,] Director of [PLO] Commission of Prisoners' [Affairs] Raed Abu Al-Humus revealed that the list of released prisoners who will run in the elections for the Fatah Movement Central Committee and Fatah Revolutionary Council at the Eighth [Fatah] Conference, which will be held between May 14-16, [2026,] has been completed.

Abu Al-Humus explained that the Palestinian leadership and the Fatah leadership honored the recently released prisoners from Fatah by approving the membership of anyone who served 20 years or more [in prison], which allowed the membership of 388 members, including some released female prisoners.

Abu Al-Humus said: ‘For several weeks, we have been working on organizing the situation among the Fatah prisoners who will participate in the conference. Since this is the first time that the number of members from among the released prisoners is so large, it was necessary that we adequately represent the magnitude of the struggle and sacrifice of hundreds and thousands of years that were burned in prisons, show loyalty to the resolute brothers we left behind, reflect our culture, affiliation, and commitment to the Fatah leadership and its [Fatah] Chairman [and PA President Mahmoud Abbas], and be part of the decision-making process.'

Abu Al-Humus added: ‘The prisoners' candidates for the Revolutionary Council were chosen according to a relative formula of the number of released prisoners who are members of the conference according to each district. This included representation of all the districts without exception, from the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and Jerusalem. The list of candidates also included a mix and balance between the released prisoners within the homeland and those who were deported to the capital of Egypt, Cairo.' …

After all this organized effort, which included dozens of meetings with released prisoners in the West Bank, the Gaza Strip, and Cairo, we announce to everyone, with full agreement and responsible commitment, that the released prisoner candidates at the Eighth Fatah Conference are: … (followed by the list above -Ed.)."
