Fatah angry at Iran for not destroying Israel

Fatah had such high hopes of Iran but has been completely disappointed. Iran had promised to deal with the Palestinian Authority's two fundamental enemies, Israel and the US, but has failed in both. Israel "unfortunately" still exists, and Iran just signed a deal with "the Great Satan":
 

Fatah Spokesman in the Gaza Strip Mundhir Al-Hayek: "Iran had promised us for many years that it would erase the existence of Israel. Unfortunately, it has not erased it. We've heard all the grand slogans from Iran, such as the US being the Great Satan, but it signed an agreement today with the US to protect its country."

The Fatah spokesman's two complaints illustrate what Palestinian Media Watch has exposed. First, the PA, like Hamas, fundamentally seeks Israel's destruction and not coexistence. Secondly, in spite of the billions of dollars in US aid to the PA, the PA still sees itself firmly in the anti-America camp led by China, Russia, and Iran. For the PA, Iran signing with the US is surrender to the PA's enemy.
