Palestinian goal is “the end of the Israeli colony, but no one should say it”

Itamar Marcus|

While naïve people around the world believe Palestinian Authority leaders when they say they want a two-state solution with "Palestine" and Israel living side-by-side in peace, Palestinians know that this is a lie. The PA knows that it will lose Western support if it openly says the truth, which is that it intends for Israel's complete destruction.

A political commentator on official PA TV recently explained this to viewers, stressing that Palestinians can't talk openly about their goal—"the end of the Israeli colony"—because this is not acceptable to the world. He talked about three categories of Palestinians:

Political commentator Hamada Farana: "They [the Israeli Arabs] are fighting for equality and not for the liberation of Palestine. The Palestinians in… the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip are fighting for independence and not for the liberation of Palestine… The Palestinians in the diaspora are fighting for [the right of] return… If these three concepts are actualized, it means the end of the Israeli colony, but no one should say it, as we've said in the past, that we want the liberation of all Palestinian land. The world is no longer willing to accept this." …

Official PA TV host: "This is work with a cumulative impact to end this colony's existence."

The PA's definition of Israel as a "colony" is to delegitimize Israel's existence, portray it as an imperialist implant, and therefore justify the goal of destroying Israel. A very similar statement was made by Fatah Central Committee member Abbas Zaki. He explained that the PA's "goal" is that Israel will "come to an end" and that it be "removed from existence." And then he added that this is not something the Palestinians can talk openly about because the world won't accept it:

Fatah Central Committee member Abbas Zaki: "The agreement is based on the borders of June 4 [1967]. While the agreement is on the borders of June 4, the President [Mahmoud Abbas] understands, we understand, and everyone knows that it is impossible to realize the inspiring idea, or the great goal in one stroke. If Israel withdraws from Jerusalem, if Israel uproots the settlements, 650,000 settlers, if Israel removes the [security] fence - what will be with Israel? Israel will come to an end. If I say that I want to remove it from existence, this will be great, great, [but] it is hard. This is not a [stated] policy. You can't say it to the world. You can say it to yourself."

For decades, Palestinian Media Watch has exposed that the goal of the PA is Israel's destruction. And for decades, the Palestinians have discussed this openly in Arabic among themselves. And for decades, the world has turned a convenient blind eye so that the facts won't destroy their political agenda of forcing Israel to accept a Palestinian state.
