Palestinian Authority boasts of Hitler as a Palestinian ally, while branding Israel as “Nazi”

The Palestinian Authority does not bother to conceal its connections to Adolf Hitler. On the contrary, it is actually proud of them. The PA is boasting that Haj Amin Al-Husseini, whom it calls "one of the most prominent Palestinian leaders of the 20th century," had actively sought Adolf Hitler's support during World War II.

Official PA TV narrator: "In the heart of Jerusalem, one of the most prominent Palestinian leaders of the 20th century was born—Haj Muhammad Amin Al-Husseini... who became a symbol of the Palestinian struggle for decades... In 1929, he stood at the forefront of the opposition to the Zionist attempts to take over the Al-Buraq Wall (i.e., the Western Wall of the Temple Mount), which led to the outbreak of the Al-Buraq Rebellion (i.e., the 1929 Arab riots, 133 Jews murdered)... In 1941, he found refuge in Germany, where he worked to gain Hitler's support for the Palestinian cause... With the beginning of the Nakba (i.e., "the catastrophe," the establishment of Israel) in 1948, he was one of the fiercest opponents of the [plan for] the partition of Palestine...[Grand Mufti of Jerusalem] Haj Amin Al-Husseini remains one of the most prominent figures... who contributed to strengthening the Palestinian identity."

PA TV here even described Al-Hussein's arrival in in Hitler's Germany as finding "refuge," turning the Nazi regime into a welcoming sanctuary in its account of Palestinian history.

Al-Husseini was indeed an active Nazi collaborator. He was an associate of Hitler, lived in Germany from 1941-1945, and received funding from the Nazi government. In his memoirs, Al-Husseini wrote: "Our fundamental condition for cooperating with Germany was a free hand to eradicate every last Jew from Palestine and the Arab world." During the war, he broadcast in Arabic on Nazi radio: "Kill the Jews wherever you find them – this pleases God, history and religion" (Radio Berlin, March 1, 1944). He was responsible for a Muslim SS division and fought against the potential release of Jewish children, resulting in 5,000 of them being sent to the gas chambers. Declassified American intelligence also showed that Al-Husseini's network was funded and supplied with weapons by the Nazis, serving the murderous Arab Revolt of 1936-1939.

This makes the PA's constant branding of Israel as "Nazi" particularly obscene. Its officials and media hurl Nazi libels at the Jewish state while its own television glorifies a Palestinian icon who actually lived in Berlin during World War II and was a close ally of Hitler.
