PA MP and terrorist Marwan Barghouti: Arch-terrorists Abu Jihad, Ahmed Yassin, [Fathi] Shaqaqi, Abu Ali Mustafa are role models
“Prisoner leader Marwan Barghouti called on the PA to restore the dignity of the resistance, officially adopt the movement to boycott the occupation, and defend Jerusalem from Judaization, out of loyalty and devotion to the historic heritage of Yasser Arafat. These statements were made in a letter from the prisoner leader [Barghouti] on the tenth anniversary of the assassination of founding leader Yasser Arafat. In his letter, Barghouti wrote: ‘The assassination of President Yasser Arafat was an official Israeli-American decision, [and occurred] after a continuous military and political siege that was aimed at torpedoing the blessed Al-Aqsa Intifada (i.e., PA terror campaign 2000-2005) and dealing a blow to the resistance and the unity of the Palestinian people. There is no need for the inquiry teams and commissions of the past ten years to realize this fact.’
Barghouti added: ‘Adherence to the heritage of Yasser Arafat and to the principles for which he and tens of thousands of others died as Martyrs (Shahids) is expressed through the continuation of the national reconciliation based on correct foundations, through the achievement of national unity, through support of the National Reconciliation Government [Fatah and Hamas], and through adherence to the option of the comprehensive resistance and the rifle, which Yasser Arafat, Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir), Ahmed Yassin, [Fathi] Shaqaqi, Abu Ali Mustafa, [Raed] Al-Karmi, and [Ahmed] Al-Ja'abari died as Martyrs to uphold.’
Barghouti demanded that the roles and tasks of the PA be reexamined, so that its first and central mission becomes the support of comprehensive resistance, and that a brave and immediate decision be made to turn to the [UN] Security Council and to join all international agencies and institutions, above all the International Criminal Court, and to stop relying on the illusion of negotiations. Barghouti delivered a greeting of honor and appreciation to the popular uprising in Jerusalem. He called on our people to support the West Bank, Gaza, the interior (i.e., Israel), the diaspora, the Arab world and the Islamic world, given that the battle for Al-Aqsa and the Islamic and Christian holy places is the battle for Palestine and for freedom, [the right of] return and independence.”

Abu Jihad (Khalil Al-Wazir) was a founder of Fatah and deputy to Yasser Arafat. He headed the PLO terror organization's military wing and planned many deadly Fatah terror attacks killing 125 Israelis. This included the most lethal in Israeli history, the hijacking of a bus and killing of 37 civilians, 12 of them children.
Sheikh Ahmed Yassin – Founder and former head of the terrorist organization Hamas. The Hamas movement is responsible for numerous terror attacks and the deaths of hundreds of Israeli civilians.
Fathi Shaqaqi - Founder of the terrorist organization Islamic Jihad, which has carried out numerous terrorist attacks, killing hundreds of Israeli civilians.
Abu Ali Mustafa - General Secretary of the terror organization Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). He planned numerous terror attacks against Israeli civilians during the Palestinian terror campaign (the Intifada, 2000-2005).
Raed Al-Karmi – a senior Tanzim (Fatah terror faction) operative and responsible for the murder of nine Israelis in several attacks: Etgar Zeituni and Motti Dayan on Jan. 23, 2001; Zvi Shelef on May 31, 2001; Danny Yehuda on June 18, 2001; Elie Na’aman on July 4, 2001; Dov Roseman on Aug. 26, 2001; Hananya Ben Avraham on Oct. 5, 2001; soldier Yaniv Levy on Aug. 28, 2001 and Israeli army officer Erez Merhavi on Sept. 6, 2001. Al-Karmi was killed by the Israeli army on Jan. 14, 2002.
Ahmed Al-Ja'abari was a member of Hamas' political bureau and, beginning in 2002, the operational commander of Hamas' military wing, the Izz A-Din Al-Qassam Brigades. Israel holds him responsible for all terrorist activities against Israel originating from the Gaza Strip between 2002 and his death in 2012, including numerous suicide bombings that killed hundreds of Israeli civilians and soldiers. He was involved in the abduction of Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit (June 25, 2006) and in the negotiations surrounding Shalit's release in October 2011. Al-Ja'abari played a leading role in the Hamas takeover of the Gaza Strip in June 2007. He was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Nov. 14, 2012.
