Fatah indifferent to murder of Israeli civilian, vows to rebuild murderer’s demolished house

  • PA has rebuilt house of murderer of 2 several times

Israeli citizen Rabbi Shai Ohayon was stabbed to death in Petah Tikva, 10 km. from Tel Aviv, on Aug. 26, 2020 by a Palestinian who had a permit to work in Israel. Terrorist murderer Dweikat was arrested near the scene of the attack and has confessed to the murder. As is Israeli policy, Israel demolished the murderer’s home, as this has proven to be an effective deterrent against terror and has saved lives.

Unsurprisingly, Abbas’ Fatah Movement is completely indifferent to the fact that an Israeli civilian has been murdered, and has vowed to rebuild the murderer’s house:

Posted text: “Fatah Movement Deputy Chairman Mahmoud Al-Aloul: ‘There is no home that the occupation has destroyed and we have not rebuilt. We will rebuild the home of prisoner Khalil Dweikat (i.e., terrorist, murdered 1) in the village of Rujeib.”

It is PA policy to reward and honor terrorist murderers, including rebuilding their demolished houses. Palestinian Media Watch has documented that the PA has rebuilt the house of terrorist Omar Abu Laila, who murdered two, as well as the houses of other murderers – on orders from PA Chairman Abbas himself.

Murderer Omar Abu Laila is the “Martyr” who the PA turned from an unknown teenager into a Palestinian symbol - in just two weeks. Since then, the PA and Fatah have honored this murderer greatly, and called him a "heroic Martyr," "more honorable than all of us," and "the perfect person." They have even named a street, a square, and a mosque after him, while Fatah held a youth camp named after him.

After Israel demolished murderer Abu Laila’s home in 2019, the PA/Fatah rebuilt it. Israel then demolished it a second time, after which a plot of land “was donated” for building a new home for the Abu Laila family, a project that was supervised by Fatah:

The new home of the Abu Laila family, “delivered as promised” by Fatah:

Posted text: “A picture of the family home of one who is more honorable than all of us, Omar Abu Laila, a son of the town of Al-Zawiya in the Salfit district, shortly after the destruction of his family home at the hands of the occupation forces…
Fatah Branch Secretary at Salfit fighter Abd Al-Sattar Awwad called for its reconstruction under the headline ‘We will rebuild what they have destroyed.’ A plot of land was donated, the construction began, and [now] it is almost complete. We hope and ask Allah that it be ready for dwelling and being handed over to the family shortly before Eid Al-Adha (i.e., “the Sacrifice Feast” holiday).
This is the promise of Fatah, and when it promises, it delivers.”

Murderer Omar Abu Laila’s father has repeatedly thanked Fatah during the construction of the new house:

Fatah’s posted text: “This is what the father of Martyr Omar Abu Laila wrote on his page:”

Murderer’s father’s posted text: “Many thanks to [Fatah’s] Salfit Branch Secretary brother Abd Al-Sattar Awwad ‘Abu Iyad’ for his continuous overseeing and monitoring of the construction of our home, and for his standing with the Martyrs’ families. We thank all those who took part in constructing this home.”

Murderer’s father’s posted text: “Full honor and appreciation for the Fatah members, and foremost among them [Fatah’s Salfit Branch Secretary] Abd Al-Sattar Awwad ‘Abu Iyad,’ for their constant support of the Martyrs’ families. We will not forget all the generous members of our people who took part in building our home and standing alongside us.”

Israel carries out demolitions of terrorists' houses to discourage others from committing attacks. According to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs: "Demolition orders are issued only against the residences of terrorists who commit the most serious offenses" and it is "an act of deterrence meant to discourage Palestinians from carrying out future terror attacks so as to minimize their number.” House demolitions have proven to be a life-saving deterrence. There are documented cases in which parents notified the Israeli army that their sons were planning terror attacks. The parents did this because they did not want to lose their homes.

Khalil Abd Al-Khaleq Muhammad Dweikat – Palestinian terrorist who confessed to stabbing and murdering Israeli citizen Rabbi Shai Ohayon in Petah Tikva on Aug. 26, 2020. Dweikat was arrested at the scene of the attack and is awaiting trial.

Omar Abu Laila – 19-year-old Palestinian terrorist who stabbed and murdered Israeli soldier Gal Keidan, and shot and murdered Rabbi Achiad Ettinger, a father of 12, at Ariel Junction on March 17, 2019. Abu Laila was killed on March 19, 2019, during an exchange of gunfire with Israeli soldiers who attempted to arrest him.
