The world should not be surprised that Hamas is hiding behind civilians and thereby causing many Palestinian deaths in Gaza, since Hamas leaders announced this strategy at the outset of their war against Israel.

Early in Hamas’ terror war on Israel, Hamas Political Bureau member Ghazi Hamad vowed Hamas would repeat of Oct. 7 massacre “a second, third, and a fourth time,” adding he was not concerned about Palestinian deaths – because he was “proud to sacrifice Martyrs”:

Hamas Political Bureau member Ghazi Hamad: “We need to educate Israel, and we will educate it a second time and a third time. The Al-Aqsa Flood won’t be [only] one time. No, it will be a second time, a third, and a fourth, because we have the will, the decision, and the capabilities to fight. We will pay a price, indeed, we are prepared. Allow me to tell you clearly, we are called “the people of Martyrs” and we are proud to sacrifice Martyrs.”

In addition, senior Hamas official Khaled Mashaal made it clear that Hamas leaders (sitting safely outside of “Palestine”) are not afraid of sacrificing thousands if not millions of Palestinians for “the liberation.” Comparing potential dead Palestinian “Martyrs” to the millions of “Martyrs” who died for Russia, Vietnam, and Afghanistan during their “liberation” wars, Mashaal made it clear he doesn’t care about dead Palestinians:

Senior Hamas official Khaled Mashaal Mashaal: “Peoples are not liberated easily. The Russians sacrificed 30 million people in World War II in order to be liberated from Hitler’s attack on them. The Vietnamese people sacrificed 3.5 million people until it defeated the Americans. Afghanistan first defeated the Soviet Union and afterwards America with millions of Martyrs. The Algerian people [sacrificed] 6 million Martyrs over 130 years. The Palestinian people is like all the peoples, there is no people that is liberated without sacrifices.

Palestinian Media Watch has exposed that Hamas leaders indeed do not care about the Palestinian civilians in its terror war against Israel, using them as human shields.

Hamas war on Israel October 2023 - At least 1,200 Israelis, including over 1,000 civilians, were murdered and over 4,800 wounded, in addition to approximately 244 who were abducted into the Gaza Strip (including 110 later released or liberated and at least 26 later killed), in a Hamas terror war that began when approximately 3,000 Hamas terrorists broke through Israel's security fence at the Gaza Strip border and launched a surprise attack, taking control of several Israeli towns and attacking a music festival on the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah, which fell on the Sabbath, Oct. 7, 2023. During the massacre the terrorists tortured, raped, shot, beheaded, and burned their victims alive, murdering entire families and leaving at least 21 children without parents. Hamas terrorists also fired at least 5,000 rockets at Israeli population centers. In response, Israel launched Operation Iron Swords to counter the Hamas terror threat. Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon joined Hamas' terror war starting from the following day, attacking Israel from the north. Occasional rocket launches and shootings continued from Lebanon throughout the war. A ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal began on Nov. 24, 2023, in which Israel agreed to release 150 terrorist prisoners, pause drone surveillance in the Gaza Strip, and allow movement between the northern and southern Gaza Strip, in return for 50 Israeli female and child hostages held by Hamas. The deal was subsequently extended with additional releases, until Hamas violated the agreement and resumed attacking on Dec. 1, 2023.
