During the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan, official PA TV quizzed Palestinians in refugee camps about the geography of "Palestine," and the first quizzes were sponsored by MahmoudAbbas himself.

Those "correctly" identifying Israeli cities as "Palestinian" cities were rewarded with $50-100. The Israeli cities and regions presented as Palestinian regions, cover Israel from north to south and from east to west, including: Jaffa, Haifa, Acre, Rosh Hanikra, the Negev, the Golan Heights, Jerusalem, Eilat, Safed, Nazareth, Sea of Galilee, and the Arava. In addition, Palestinians were taught in these quizzes that "Palestine" borders Syria, Egypt and Lebanon, all of which border Israel. This confirms yet again that in the Palestinian Authority's worldview, there is no Israel.       
In addition to geography, one question honored 3 murderers who killed Jews during the 1936-1939 Hebron –  Safed massacres, glorifying them as "fighters" and "Martyrs."

Another question repeated the PA libel that an Israeli set fire to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1969, whereas in fact it was an Australian Christian.

Official PA TV often quizzes Palestinians in the streets during Ramadan, and Palestinian Media Watch has exposed that they have always generously rewarded them for erasing Israel and denying its right to exist in any borders.

The following are examples of such denial of Israel's right to exist in this year's quizzes:

• Israeli city Jaffa is "Palestine" in Abbas-sponsored quiz

Official PA TV host: "The program is sponsored by His Honor [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas and the PLO Department of Refugee Affairs…

Jaffa (i.e., Israeli city) is well-known and there's no need to introduce it, but with a few basic details, how can we present it to the viewers?"

Man: "Jaffa is famous for its fruits, its oranges, and it is called ‘the Bride of the Sea' because it is the most beautiful area in Palestine, on the seashore."

Host: "Yes. A thousand blessings, Mustafa! You've won a gift prize from the [PLO] Department of Refugee Affairs of 300 shekels (just under $100 -Ed.)."

• Identifying Israel's Negev Desert and Golan Heights as "Palestine" is rewarded with $50

Official PA TV host: "The desert located in southern Palestine – what is its name?"

Man 1: "The Negev Desert (i.e., in southern Israel)."

Host: "Bravo, the Negev. Happy holidays, take $50…

What is the dividing line between Palestine and Syria? The options: Sea of Galilee (i.e., in northern Israel)-"

Man 2: "Sea of Galilee."

Host: "-wait a bit, or the Arava (i.e., in southern Israel), or the Golan Heights (i.e., in northern Israel)? …

Between Palestine and Syria. The Golan Heights."

Man 2: "The Golan Heights."

• Presenting Israeli cities Jaffa, Haifa, Acre as "Palestinian" pays $100

Official PA TV host: "We are presenting [monetary] prizes under the generous sponsorship of [PA President] Mahmoud Abbas and the PLO Department of Refugee Affairs, and PA TV… The famous Al-Jazzar Mosque is in which Palestinian city: Haifa, Jaffa, Acre (i.e., all Israeli cities), or Gaza? Do you know?"

Woman: "Acre."

Host: "Acre? Who told you? [Your daughter] Zainab told you? I heard you say Acre to her. Are you sure of the answer?"

Daughter: "Yes."

Host: "Correct answer of course, and you have won a prize of $100!"

• Referring to Israeli cities Eilat and Rosh Hanikra as "borders of Palestine" pays $50

Official PA TV host: "What are the southern borders of Palestine? …

From the south. Egypt is correct."

Man 1: "And Saudi Arabia."

Host: "No."

Man 1: "It includes the border point at Umm Al-Rashrash (i.e., Eilat, Israel's southern border), includes Jordan, Aqaba, and Saudi Arabia."

Host: "Bravo, 1,000 congratulations. The Gulf of Aqaba (i.e., the Gulf of Eilat)… And here is [the prize of] $50…

What is the dividing line between Palestine and Lebanon?"

Man 2: "Rosh Hanikra (i.e., Israeli town on northern border)."

Host: "Bravo, it is indeed Rosh Hanikra…And here is [the prize of] $50."

• Saying Haifa, Jaffa, Acre, Safed, and Jerusalem are "in Palestine" pays off $50

Official PA TV host: "I want you to name five Palestinian districts within the Green Line."

Young man: "Nazareth district."

Host: "Correct."

Young man: "Jerusalem."

Host: "Go on."

Young man: "Haifa, Jaffa, and Acre."

Host: "Exactly."

Young man: "And Safed."

Host: "Well done. Happy holidays, happy Ramadan, take $50…"

Host: "What is the name of the most important fortress, the historical fortress located in Palestine? A very famous fortress. Where is it and what is its name?"

Man: "In Acre (i.e., Israeli city)."

Host: "What is the name of the fortress? It is in Acre, what is its name?"

Man: "Acre Fortress."

Host: "Acre Fortress… Your prize is $50."

• PA TV pays man $50 for saying Israel's Negev Desert is "in southern Palestine"

Official PA TV host: "The question is: What is the desert located in southern Palestine? What is its name? Be careful! I will be angry [if you get it wrong]!"

Man: "The Negev (i.e., in southern Israel)."

Host: "Only the Negev Desert. It is in southern Palestine. Happy holidays, here is $50."

• Quiz glorifies 3 murderers from 1929 Arab Riots as "fighters and Martyrs"; knowing who they were is worth 300 shekels

Official PA TV host: "The question is: What is the Red Night? Is it the night of the expulsion in 1948 (i.e., Israeli War of Independence), the night of the outbreak of the 1936 revolution (i.e., the 1936-1939 Arab Revolt, at least 400 Jews murdered), or the night of the execution of the three fighters in Acre in 1930?"

Man: "The night of the execution of the three fighters. Al-Zir and- the three who were there."

Host: "Muhammad Jamjoum, Fuad Hijazi, and Ataa Al-Zir (i.e., terrorist murderers)."

Man: "It's called the Red Night, when they died as Martyrs."

Host: "Indeed, your answer is correct sir, as the Red Night is the night of the execution of three fighters in Acre Prison in 1930. The three fighters are Muhammad Jamjoum, Fuad Hijazi, and Ataa Al-Zir…

• Identifying Australian Christian who set fire to the Al-Aqsa Mosque as "an Israeli madman" brings in $100

One quiz participant repeated the PA libel that it was an "Israeli madman" who set fire to the Al-Aqsa Mosque in 1969, when in fact it was an Australian Christian man. The wrong "correct" answer paid off:

Official PA TV host: "The [official PA TV] program Discourse of Memory is sponsored by His Honor [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas and the PLO Department of Refugee Affairs, and PA TV… The event that occurred in Jerusalem in 1969, was it: The destruction of the [Al-Aqsa] Mosque, the burning of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, or the Intifada?"

Man: "Of course, the burning of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli madman, who burned the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Saladin [Al-Ayyubi] pulpit."

Host: "Of course, your answer is correct... You've won a prize of 300 shekels (just under $100 -Ed.) from the PLO Department of Refugee Affairs."

The PA TV program, Discourse of Memory, is sponsored by PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and the PLO Department of Refugee Affairs. The program quizzed Palestinians in refugee camps during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.

Correct answers were rewarded with 300 shekels or $100 by the PLO's Department of Refugee Affairs. The second PA TV program From City to City rewarded answers denying Israel's existence with $50.
