Palestinian Authority says Israel wants Arab lands; actually, PA wants all of Israel
PA lies: Israel's goals to conquer Arab states:
- Israel "still adheres to the slogan: 'Israel's border is from the Euphrates River to the Nile River'" – Fatah official
- Netanyahu's desired "Greater Israel" targets "all Arab states in the region" – PLO official
- Israel and the US are planning to steal Arab lands and resources – Fatah Spokesman
PA openly promotes its goal of destroying Israel:
- There is no "Land of Israel" – Fatah TV political commentator
- "Israel" only exists "in quotes" – PA TV "Israeli affairs expert"
- PA officials: Israel will "disappear," refugees will return "to our cities in the 1948 territories (i.e., Israel)"
- "Palestine is from its River to its Sea" – official PA daily political commentator
"The guilty project their ideology on others" is a term fit to describe the PA's projection onto Israel of its goals of destroying Israel.
When Fatah officials claim Israel "still adheres to the slogan: 'Israel's border is from the Euphrates River to the Nile River,'" and "wants your land," it reflects the PA and Fatah's own dream of destroying Israel, creating a "Palestine from the river to the sea":
Fatah US branch member Shahinaz Wafi: "There is a [territorial] expansion by Israel, which still adheres to the slogan: 'Israel's border is from the Euphrates River to the Nile River.'"
[Official PA TV, Capital of Capitals, May 18, 2026]
Fatah Advisory Council member Mazen Izz A-Din: "Now [Israel] openly demands what [former PA] President Yasser Arafat said: 'Brothers, look closely at the Israeli coin, from the Nile River to the Euphrates River.Israel wants your lands. It wants to expand.'"
[Fatah-run Awdah TV, Facebook page, June 2, 2026]
Yet, the PA openly includes all of Israel in their definition of "Palestine":
Political commentator Dr. Muhammad Awdah: "First of all... Palestine from its [Jordan] River to its [Mediterranean] Sea is our homeland."
[Fatah-run Awdah TV, Facebook page, May 19, 2026 and Fatah-run Radio Mawtini, May 19, 2026]
Fatah Revolutionary Council member and regular columnist for the official PA daily Muwaffaq Matar: "If a researcher examines the facts, he will discover a similarity to the point of overlap between Fatah and the homeland Palestine, on [all] its land – from its Galilee to its Negev [Desert], and from its [Jordan] River to its [Mediterranean] Sea."
[Official PA daily, Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 14, 2026]
The same projection is evident when a Fatah spokesmanrepeatedlyalleges that an "Israeli-Zionist plan" aims at "stealing Arab lands":
Fatah Spokesman in the Gaza Strip Mundhir Al-Hayek: "There is a clear Zionist mentality, whose main goal is the theft of land and the stealing of Arab and Palestinian lands... There is an Israeli-Zionist plan aimed at stealing Arab lands. Therefore, it is necessary to formulate an Arab-Palestinian plan to confront all those plans aimed at breaking us as Arabs and Palestinians."

Palestinian Media Watch recently reported on similar statements about US President Trump's alleged goal to "fight Islam" and conquer the entire Middle East. A PLO official also recently accused Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu of targeting "all Arab states in the region" to fulfill his alleged vision of a "Greater Israel":
PLO Central Council member and official PA daily columnist Omar Hilmi Al-Ghoul: "Israel has reached a peak in realizing its choice and advancing towards its project… establishing the complete Israeli state within the borders of Palestine, as a preliminary stage for the establishment of Greater Israel - as declared by [Israeli Prime Minister] Netanyahu, [Israeli Minister of Finance] Smotrich, and all the Israeli leaders – from the Nile River to the Euphrates River, while clearly targeting Jordan, Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, as well as all Arab states in the region, [such as] Lebanon and Syria."

The PA's goal of destroying Israel is communicated to Palestinians daily, as here when PA officials wished for "the disappearance" of Israel and the return of Palestinian refugees to "our cities and villages in the 1948 territories" – meaning in Israel:
Tulkarem District Deputy Governor Faisal Salameh: "Our people will continue to stand firm and be connected to its land until the disappearance of the occupation (i.e., Israel) and its settlers …Allah willing, next year… we will celebrate the establishment of the independent Palestinian state whose capital is holy Jerusalem, the return of the refugees, and the freedom of our prisoners (i.e., terrorists), which is at the top of the national priorities of the Palestinian leadership."
Nablus District Governor Ghassan Daghlas: "We, from the Palestinian leadership headed by [PA] President Mahmoud Abbas, to the youngest Palestinian child, have only one message: We will never forget, we will never forgive, and we will yet return to our land, Allah willing."
Chairman of the Popular Committee for Services Provision in the Balata refugee camp Imad Zaki: "…Even if only one child will remain in Palestine, in the refugee camps, we are determined to return to our cities and villages in the 1948 territories (i.e., Israel), Allah willing."
[Official PA TV News, May 12, 2026]
An official TV broadcast assigned Israeli cities to "Palestine," sending the same message that Israel doesn't have a right to exist:
Narrator: "Palestine. The invaders (i.e., Israelis) described it as a land without a people, an abandoned land. Palestine, a tall and long body on the coast, and a slim waist full of inhabited cities and full of civilization – Jerusalem, Haifa, Jaffa, Acre, Bethlehem, Tiberias, Hebron, Lod, Gaza."
[Official PA TV, May 17, 2026]
Palestinians are fed this PA narrative daily when one of PA TV's "Israeli affairs experts" and a political commentator both refer to Israel "in quotes":
Official PA TV "Israeli affairs expert" Nawaf Al-Zaru: "'Israel' in quotes is the spearhead of the West in our region. It wages wars on behalf of the colonial West against the peoples and states that aspire for independence and sovereignty in the region. Therefore, the Zionist and Israeli wars move from [one] front to a [second] front, a third, and a fourth."
[Official PA TV, Capital of Capitals – Amman, May 17, 2026]
Political commentator Dr. Muhammad Awdah: "The West Bank is for them [Israelis] 'the Land of Israel' in quotes. Of course, there is no 'the Land of Israel,' not in the correct religious texts... and this talk is nonsense."
[Fatah-run Awdah TV, Facebook page May 19, 2026 and Fatah-run Radio Mawtini, May 19, 2026]
The PA adamantly asserts that the entire State of Israel is "Palestine." This is clear from the PA map of "Palestine" used by the PA in schools, PA offices, and at public events. PMW has exposed numerous statements by PA and Fatah officials that "Palestine" stretches "from the Jordan Riverto the Mediterranean Sea," and is "Islamic."
At a session of the UN Security Council in 1990, PLO and PA Chairman Yasser Arafat claimed that the Israeli 10 agorot coin carries a map of "Greater Israel" that represents Israel's plan for expansion into surrounding Arab states. But the Israeli coin design does not include a map. The shape is a replica of a coin issued by the last Jewish Hasmonean king of Judea, Mattathias Antigonus, in the 1st century BCE.
