"Locusts, plague, and scabies" are the terms official Palestinian Authority TV used for Jewish immigrants, asthe PA's dehumanization of Jews continues at new heights:
Editor in Chief of Palestinian news agency Ma'an and PA TV host Nasser Al-Lahham: "The Zionists came to Palestine like locusts, as a plague, as scabies.[They] filled the mountains and crevices, killed children and the elderly, watch with me:"

This dehumanization of an entire group as dangerous and threatening is designed to evoke not only disgust and hostility but also to create a willingness to use violence against it in self-defense.
Dehumanizing language like this can be lethal, as Jews know too well from Nazi Germany and 20th century Europe. There, Jews were framed as a germ and a contagious virus threatening to infect the entire population. They became "the Jewish problem," which all too many Germans were prepared to help erase.
A few days prior to this hate speech by the official PA TV host, another PA TV host described Israel as "a monster," while an antisemitic Palestinian journalist on the show explained that the "bastard state" Israel was established as a solution to Europe's "Jewish problem." Saying so, he reiterated what Mahmoud Abbas and one of his closest advisors have said in the past: That Europe wanted to "get rid of the Jews" and do so while also serving a colonial need:
Official PA TV host: "Do you think that the Zionist project and the monster that was sometimes called the monster [Israel] is now beginning to break?"
Journalist Ramadan Al-Rawashdeh: "This state [Israel], which was implanted in this sensitive strategic area… was an objective of the colonial powers, which wanted to establish it from the beginning. Not out of love for the Jews… They concluded that in this region, they must establish an entity for themselves. … Additionally, [the goal was] to get rid of them in Europe… They constituted part of the crisis, which… at the end of the 19th century, was called the 'Jewish problem,' which needed a solution in Europe. [Israel is a] bastard state that British colonialism and European countries implanted and which the US also later adopted."

The technique of framing the mere existence of a minority as an active disease, parasites, and vermin is also known from Rwanda, where Hutu extremists systematically labeled the Tutsi minority as "cockroaches,"leading to the Rwandan genocide in 1994 in which approximately 800,000 Tutsis and moderate Hutus were murdered. The Khmer Rouge in Cambodia used a similar technique, referring to targeted minorities as "microbes, parasites, and worms," which led to the murder of 1.5-2 million Cambodians from 1975 to 1979.
